Sumatra Surf Resort is situated on the broad point of Tanjung Setia in front of the super-consistent lefthander at Ujung Bocur. The traditional bungalows line either side of a tranquil palm grove leading to the pool and lookout overlooking the reef. The huts are comfortable and include air-con with large en-suites and hot showers. The huge hang-out area has everything you need with a bar, comfy sofas, pool table and lots of seating for the restaurant. Like most things in life, it's all about the people and the ladies in the kitchen pump out your 3 square meals a day with speed and a big smile. It's mainly tasty traditional Indonesian dishes with a few western dishes for variety. The management staff are super-helpful and can arrange everything you need from a scooter to a massage. Sumatra Surf Resort is the accommodation of choice for the pros who come here for the Krui Pro WQS competition that runs in June.
