Tom Curren at Bawa on the Fireball Fish

Description
Surfers Journals Clip In our current issue, author Ben Mondy traces early tracks at the Indonesian island of Bawa to a group of British and Irish surfers who started surfing there in 1989. Five years later, the wave was pushed into the limelight by Tom Curren’s deft performance in bigger surf on a 5'7" Tommy Peterson Fireball Fish. In 2005, an earthquake permanently altered the wave’s shape.
