Where to surf in Falkland Islands

Out on the British territory of the Falkland Islands, the local surfers usually ride small, short, fast peelers at Surf Bay or the slightly better exposed military area Bertha Beach beside a signposted minefield. You’ll be sharing with a menagerie of creatures including dolphins, sea lions and penguins at these east-facing beaches, where the offshores can often be too strong and shralp the waves to bits.
